Fralin Museum of Art

Good forHistory buffsArts & culture lovers

Free admission every day, a permanent collection of nearly 14,000 objects spanning ancient times to the present, and a building that has been part of UVA's academic life since 1935 — the Fralin doesn't sell itself with spectacle. It renamed itself in 2012 to honor a bequest of American art from Cynthia and W. Heywood Fralin. The collection runs from European and American painting to African and American Indian art. Walk in without a plan and see what finds you.
