LBJ Ranch (Texas White House)

He was born here, lived here, died here, and is buried here. The LBJ Ranch — the Texas White House during Johnson's presidency — sits on the Pedernales River near Stonewall, and the National Park Service now administers it as part of a national historical park. The driving tour remains open; the Texas White House itself is currently closed for structural rehabilitation. Pick up a free permit at the LBJ State Park and Historic Site Visitor Center in Stonewall before heading in.
