Fredericksburg — Wine Road US-290 Corridor (Texas Hill Country AVA)

The Texas Hill Country AVA stretches from Austin to Fredericksburg and beyond, anchored along US-290 — and what started in 1999 with eight wineries has grown to more than sixty members under the Texas Hill Country Wineries association. Fredericksburg sits at the center of it, the common starting point for anyone working through the region's wine country. The AVA is, by visitor traffic, the second most-visited wine region in the United States.
