San Luis Obispo Farmers Market (Thursday Night Market)

Every Thursday night, five blocks of Higuera Street shut down and San Luis Obispo becomes something else. More than 120 vendors line the closed corridor, offering locally grown produce, prepared food, handmade goods, and live music — farm-to-table dinners available for under ten dollars. A bike valet runs curbside. On the first Thursday of each month, a mass cycling loop through downtown follows the market. The city's fire department maintains a bike medic presence throughout.
