Cerro de Punta

Good forOutdoor lovers

Puerto Rico's highest point rises to 4,390 feet above sea level on the municipal boundary between Ponce and Jayuya, inside the Toro Negro State Forest. It is not a volcano but the apex of the Cordillera Central, the mountain range that divides the island east to west. The summit holds an observation platform and transmission towers; on clear days, the view stretches more than 75 miles to San Juan. Access runs off PR-143, part of the Ruta Panorámica.
