Lake Quinault Lodge

National Register of Historic Places
Good forOutdoor loversHistory buffsArts & culture lovers

Built in fifty-three days in 1926, the Lake Quinault Lodge sits on the southeast shore of Lake Quinault in the Olympic National Forest, its cedar-shingled walls and masonry fireplace lobby the work of Seattle architect Robert Reamer — the same hand behind the Old Faithful Inn. President Franklin D. Roosevelt had lunch here in 1937, a visit some believe nudged the creation of Olympic National Park. The lodge has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1998 and remains open year-round.
