World's Largest Sitka Spruce (Quinault Valley)

The Quinault Rain Forest has a name for itself — "valley of the rainforest giants" — and this Sitka spruce makes the case. Recognized as the largest known specimen of its species, the tree stands near Lake Quinault off South Shore Road, a short walk from the Big Spruce Trailhead.
