Kit Carson Home and Museum

Built in 1825 and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1963, the adobe home at 113 Kit Carson Road in Taos is where Carson brought his third wife, Maria Josefa Jaramillo, and where the family lived for 25 years. Seven of their eight children grew up inside these walls. It's now a working museum, open most days, with a live guide.
