Fortaleza Street (Calle Fortaleza), Old San Juan

Fortaleza Street runs south of La Fortaleza itself — the Governor's residence that has anchored this end of Old San Juan since the 16th century, making it the oldest executive seat in continuous use in the New World. The street connects that seat to the broader city. That's the whole logic of this block: power needed a road, and the road became a neighborhood.
