Currituck Heritage Park

Thirty-nine acres of soundfront in Corolla, Currituck Heritage Park holds three distinct draws: the Whalehead Club, a 21,000-square-foot Art Nouveau hunt club listed on the National Register of Historic Places; the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, a brick tower completed in 1875 whose 220 steps reach an outdoor gallery open since 1991; and the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education. The park is managed by the Whalehead Preservation Trust and open to the public.
