Duck Town Park and Boardwalk

Good forFamiliesOutdoor loversLive-music fans

The boardwalk most visitors don't see from the road runs 0.78 miles along Currituck Sound, connecting the 11-acre Duck Town Park with the commercial village on either end. The park itself holds an amphitheater, playground, picnic shelter, and a public kayak and canoe launch. Herons, egrets, and osprey work the water along the way. Every October, the town hosts its annual Jazz Festival here — reason enough to plan around it.
