Whitney Gardens and Nursery

Good forHistory buffs

Bill Whitney started with a small nursery in Washougal, Washington around 1930, originally focused on camellias before rhododendrons took over. In 1955 he moved the operation to Brinnon, along Hood Canal, where it has been growing ever since. The seven-acre garden sits on Highway 101 and holds rhododendrons up to 80 years old — some of them Whitney's own hybrids, still in demand.
