Galveston Island Brewing Company (Historic Strand Building)

Mark Dell'Osso was an avid home brewer who won competitions. With his wife Liesel's advice, he opened Galveston Island Brewing in June 2014, starting with a 5-barrel system built from dairy farm equipment and three fermentation tanks. The flagship beer, Tiki Wheat, is designated the Official Beer of Galveston. In 2021, a 4,400-square-foot expansion doubled production capacity. The brewery now operates a 20-barrel system, brewed just over 5,000 barrels in 2025, and added a kitchen in May of that year.
