Pier 21 Historic District

Pier 21 sits at the harbor end of the Strand Historic District, where Galveston's commercial Victorian core meets the working waterfront. The Texas Seaport Museum and the Ocean Star anchor the complex alongside boat tours and harbor views, with cruise ships departing and dolphins occasionally visible in their wake. This is the edge of the city that has mattered longest — Galveston was the world's leading cotton export port before the 1900 hurricane remade everything. The water is still the point.
