Lipan Point

From the South Rim, Lipan Point delivers what the NPS calls some of the widest, most expansive canyon views on the drive — and the longest perspective of the Colorado River visible from any single overlook. On a clear day, the Vermillion Cliffs appear to the northeast and the river curves west into the Inner Gorge below. Ancient Puebloan people once farmed the Unkar Delta visible from here, working the river terrace at the canyon's bottom. Listen for Hance Rapid, nearly four miles away.
