Morten Hallgren built Ravines Wine Cellars into something the Finger Lakes wine region genuinely needed: a winery serious about dry Riesling in a region that could grow it as well as anywhere on earth. Named a Top 100 Winery in the World by Wine & Spirits multiple times, including 2021 and 2022, Ravines also produces a vin de paille from Chardonnay — a style whose cool-climate acidity mirrors the Jura. The winery draws its fruit from estate vineyards on both Seneca and Keuka Lakes.
