Riverview Park

Riverview Cemetery donated 26.6 acres along the Rivanna River to the city in 1974. By 1989, the land had been developed into a park — playground, open field, kiosk, paved parking. The Rivanna Trail starts here, running 2.3 miles north along the river, crossing under Free Bridge and Route 250, and connecting into the larger trail system that encircles Charlottesville. The park is also a designated stop on the Virginia Birding and Wildlife Trail.
