Montana Grizzly Encounter

Off I-90 between Bozeman and Livingston, this privately owned sanctuary takes in grizzlies that would otherwise be euthanized or couldn't survive on their own — bears born into captive situations, orphaned cubs, animals that lost their wildness around humans. Staff rotate the bears through the viewing habitat one at a time. Thousands of school-age kids come through each year, free of charge, learning bear safety and what coexistence actually requires.
