Livingston Depot Center

Reed & Stem — the architects behind New York's Grand Central Station — designed this 1902 depot for the Northern Pacific Railroad, and the commission matched the ambition: a building worthy of Yellowstone's grandeur, built to serve as the original gateway to America's first national park. When passenger rail faded, local citizens organized to restore it. The Depot reopened as a museum and community center, running exhibits on the railroad's role in opening the region to the world.
