Indian Museum of North America at Crazy Horse Memorial

The Indian Museum of North America sits on the grounds of Crazy Horse Memorial, part of a master plan that has always been about more than a mountain carving. The memorial's foundation — which accepts no government funding — operates the museum alongside the ongoing sculpture work. A combined family exhibit was on display here as recently as 2020, organized around ancestral legacy. The Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation runs it all as a nonprofit, financed by visitor fees, gift shop revenue, and private contributions.
