Crazy Horse Memorial Night Laser Show

The mountain doesn't stop being a mountain after dark. From May through September, the Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation runs a nighttime laser and light show projected directly onto the carving — a distinct experience from anything the daytime visit offers. The work is still unfinished, still in progress after decades. Seeing it lit against the Black Hills night, thrown into relief by light rather than sun, is a different argument for why it matters.
