City of Presidents Sculpture Walk

The sculpture walk sets its presidents on street corners — not in a park, not behind a velvet rope, but out where you actually walk. Life-size bronze figures of every U.S. president, distributed across a 12-block stretch of downtown Rapid City, with new sculptures added as administrations end. The project began in 2000 and now numbers 42 figures. It turns an errand into an accidental civics lesson, and the downtown into the destination.
