Historic 1919 downtown Tucson hotel beside the railroad depot whose January 1934 fire indirectly led to the capture of bank robber John Dillinger and his gang; still operating as a hotel, music venue, and cafe and NRHP-listed in 2003.

Jan 22, 1934 basement fire forced the gang out by aerial ladder; firemen retrieving their heavy luggage recognized them from True Detective magazine, leading to the bloodless arrest.
