Georgia O'Keeffe Museum

Good forHistory buffsArts & culture lovers

Opened on July 17, 1997, eleven years after Georgia O'Keeffe's death, this private, non-profit museum holds the largest collection of her work anywhere — nearly 1,200 objects, from early abstractions to the skull and flower paintings that defined her reputation. Founded by Anne Windfohr Marion and John L. Marion, the main building was designed by architect Richard Gluckman. Her Abiquiú home and studio, north of Santa Fe, is part of the museum's holdings and open for tours from March through November.
