Manhattan Project National Historical Park (Los Alamos)

National Register of Historic Places
Good forHistory buffs

The park exists across three cities — Los Alamos, Oak Ridge, and Hanford — but the New Mexico unit puts you closest to where the work began. Run jointly by the National Park Service and the Department of Energy, it was established when both agencies signed the agreement on November 10, 2015. The Los Alamos sites on National Laboratory property are accessible only by Department of Energy bus tours. The visitor center, in downtown Los Alamos, is open Friday through Monday.
