Phosphorescent Bay (Bahía Mosquito), Vieques

The bay sits off the southern coast of Vieques, and what happens there at night is simple chemistry: millions of dinoflagellates — microscopic marine organisms — produce sparks of light when the water moves. Disturb the surface, and it glows. The brief record on this place is thin, but the phenomenon is real.
