The park sits on a deep-water cove on the Louisiana side, with a four-lane ramp, lighted fishing pier, and cabins that sell out a year in advance during tournament weeks. Toledo Bend has held the #1 spot on Bassmaster's Best Bass Lakes ranking multiple times, and Cypress Bend is where most of the weigh-ins happen. In spring, the surrounding azaleas bloom against the cypress — the kind of scene that gets photographed for every bass magazine cover shot on this lake.
