The name means 'edge of the lake' in French, and that is exactly what this park delivers — a waterfront promenade along the north shore of Lake Charles with a marina, fishing pier, and unobstructed views across the brackish water. The park connects to the Lakefront Promenade, a paved walking and cycling path that links several lakeside green spaces. At sunset, the lake turns copper and the downtown skyline — courthouse dome, Charleston Hotel — silhouettes against it. This is where locals come to run, fish, and remind themselves why the city is named after a lake.
