North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center

The North Charleston Coliseum opened in 1993 as the region's primary large-scale indoor venue, seating up to 13,000. Its companion Performing Arts Center followed in 1999. Both are owned by the City of North Charleston. The South Carolina Stingrays hockey team has played here since that first season — the ice rink was added mid-construction after the city council approved the funds — and the complex remains the area's go-to for major concerts, Broadway touring productions, and sporting events.
