Custer State Park Wildlife Loop Road

Good forFamiliesOutdoor lovers

Eighteen miles of open grassland and pine-scattered hills, shaped into a U from the east entrance near the visitor center to the Blue Bell entrance on the west side. The park's herd of around 1,400 bison roam freely here alongside pronghorn, coyotes, elk, burros, bighorn sheep, and prairie dogs. Expect one and a half to two hours minimum — longer if the bison decide the road belongs to them, which it does.
